La Mola and the Civil War

The Mola fortress is one of the most prominent spaces to illustrate, signify and remember the Spanish Civil War and its subsequent Francoist repression.

This activity consists of an itinerary through the history of the Civil War, passing through the places in La Mola where tragic and decisive events occurred in the history of Menorca.

The civil war is, even today, a source of debate in public and private political discussion spaces, and this visit helps us understand why. The itinerary is led by a historian and archaeologist specialized in the study of the civil war in Menorca.

Guided tour by the historian and archaeologist Carlos de Salort.
